What time is the Show open?
The show will be open 10am - 5:30pm on Saturday 14th and 10am - 4pm Sunday 15th October 2023.
Will there be food stalls?
Yes, there will be a number of NEC-managed food stalls, and some of our exhibitors will sell packaged food items.
How do I get the Show Guide?
You can view the Show Guide online. This will be released in the week building up to the show.
Will I need ID?
We don’t require ID to gain entry to the Show.
Do I need to book to see a speaker?
No, all speaker talks and panels are free-to-attend and are first come, first served.
What is your sustainability policy?
Read more about our sustainability policy here.
How are you working to reduce the carbon footprint at the show?
From working with the venue, looking at ourselves and collaborating with exhibitors. But here's the thing... Visitors' travel is the biggest carbon emitter of each show. So we need your help. Taking the train instead of driving will reduce the emissions of your journey by around 80%. The NEC is a 5 minute walk from Birmingham International train station or 90 seconds by the free air-rail walk. If you need to drive, car share with friends and reduce your impact by 50%. There's a great network of cycle and footpaths in the area and bike racks are near the entrance. There are also electric car charging point and more to come in the future...
My question isn’t here
If you still have a question, please email us on [email protected]
How do I get tickets?
The box office for National Snow Show is now open, click the 'get your tickets' button on the top right of the website to secure your tickets!
I bought a ticket, but didn’t receive it by email.
If you have any ticketing queries then please visit Seetickets Support Center
Which days are my tickets valid for?
If you have purchased a weekend ticket you will be able to enter the show hall on both Saturday and Sunday. If you have purchased a day ticket you will only be able to enter on the day you have bought the ticket for. If you would like to change your day ticket to the other day please get in touch with [email protected].
Can I buy a VIP ticket?
We have made a decision as a brand not to charge for these tickets, but if you follow us on social media then you might be able to win one for free!
Can I bring children with me?
Any adult can bring a child under 16 without charge, you can book this ticket when you book your own ticket through See Tickets.
IMPORTANT: Plan your travel in advance
The NEC have advised us that National Highways will be closing the M42 between Junctions 5 and 6 this weekend for road improvement works. This may impact your journey as there will be a short diversion. Birmingham International train station is just round the corner from the show in Hall 1 and you may want to consider travelling by train rather than driving, depending on where you are travelling from. Further details can be found here on the NEC website with details on alternative routes - https://www.thenec.co.uk/visitors/travel-updates/. If you are coming to see a specific speaker, we would advise you allow some extra time to get in and parked. If you are driving, then we also advise you book your parking in advance as it’s much cheaper than on the day – this can be booked here -https://parking.thenec.co.uk/NECBirminghamBooking/Booking/SearchParking.
How do I get to the NEC and what facilities are available?
Which hall is the show in?
The National Snow Show is in Hall 1.
What if I need to stay overnight?
You can find a list of hotels available supporting the event here.
Travelling to the event sustainably
1 – Travel on public transport or actively where possible – save ££ by booking train/coach tickets in advance
2 – If travelling by car then we encourage car sharing with others you know and/or potentially using car sharing apps like liftshare.com or blablacar.com – save ££ when you book NEC car park tickets in advance
3 – Combine 1 and 2 – Have you thought about connecting with local public transport and bike hire schemes – see tfwm.org.uk (including park and ride options)
Can I bring my pet?
Only support animals are allowed inside the Hall.
Whilst you spend your day with us why not head over to the Snow Stage & hear an inspirational story from an Olympian whilst sipping on a beverage from our Alpine themed Après bar.

The Technique Lab was set up by Warren Smith Ski Academy as a way skiers can train specific movements, ranges and muscles when not skiing and in a non-ski environment.
This is something that can be used all year round and is not reliant on snow or artificial ski slopes. By using these simple tests and exercises you can help maximise your body’s potential when you next get back on snow. You’ll also learn your physiological strengths and weaknesses which will empower you when you next get out on the snow and help when buying new ski equipment.
Begin to understand what your body is and isn’t capable of. Where you need to focus your attention for physiological development. How these movement patterns and ranges affect your performance and ability when skiing.
Learn to mobilise your body and improve your flexibility in certain ranges that are very specific to skiing. When you have to do so on snow the movement will be easier to find and develop.
Develop strength and stability in some key areas of your body that are essential for effective, accurate, skilful skiing. Understand which muscle groups are essential for skiing. Greatly reduce the risk of injury.
Learn how your ski equipment can aid or hinder your body’s functional ability to move when skiing. This knowledge will help when choosing and buying new ski equipment and discussing your needs with professionals.
These programs will give attendees education on how the 3 Way Lineage (combination of Ski Technique, Ski Biomechanics and Ski Equipment Precision) works for ski instructors and coaches, as well as individual skiers trying to improve by themselves. Everyone will get a chance to be assessed in the Ski Technique Lab’s 6 Way Foundation’ tests (explained below) and shown how to improve scores focusing on Functional Mobility, Stability and Strength Drills. You’ll be left with enough data and knowledge to build your own technique development program off snow and dramatically change your skiing before the winter season starts.

Test your balance out at the balance board feature! As well as testing your skills take a look at all the boards they have to offer.
Using a balance board can improve your balance, agility and core body strength in the comfort of your home. It works by destabilising your lower body which activates muscles in your feet and ankles and up into your legs, hips and core. Using a balance board activates synapses in your brain which helps to improve balance and muscle coordination, it’s also fun to use!

I am a cross-country skier, competing as part of the British Performance Pathway affiliated with GB Snowsport. Last season, I lived in Lillehammer where I was a full-time athlete competing in the Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish junior cups. I started skiing in the UK when I was 14 as I was exposed to the sport from a young age being half Norwegian. At age 16 I was selected for the British Nordic Development Squad and last year I was chosen to be on ‘Project Lillehammer’. Being the only male athlete in the M19/20 age category in the British Performance Pathway and coming from London where there is no snow also motivates me to overcome the odds of competing in the hardest endurance sport in the world. I look forward to racing in Lillehammer this season as well as balancing university which I start this September at Newcastle.
Hannah was born in Innsbruck, Austria and has been living in the UK since 2017 inspiring Brits to holiday in Austria in her role as marketing manager for the Austrian National Tourist Office.
James Willcox is the Founder of the adventure travel company Untamed Borders. He launched the company in 2007, running bespoke trips and small group adventures to some of the world’s most interesting and inaccessible places – such as Afghanistan, Pakistana and Iraq.
James organised the first ever international ski trip to Afghanistan in 2011 and has organised regular ski trips to the country ever since. He also played an important role in the development of skiing in Iraq.
Unwitting star of Shooting Stars (BBC2), Dave’s One Night Stand and Channel 4’s The Angelos Epithemiou Show, cult favourite Angelos Epithemiou takes a giant leap into the spotlight yet again in this shambolic, weird and wonderful show. Think Little Britain meets Vic and Bob meets a smattering of Ivan Brackenbury and then lower your expectations and get on board.
Angelos Epithemiou is the creation of critically acclaimed performer, Dan Renton Skinner, who has starred in such blockbuster films as The Spy Who Dumped Me, High Rise, and Swallows and Amazons for BBC Films and such TV serial-classics as The Tracy Ullman Show, Friday Night Dinner, and The Wrong Mans.
As seen on Live At The Apollo, Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled and Coronation Street Justin is also a regular on The Premier League Show and 5Live’s Fighting Talk.
Justin then brought back tiger-faced Young Kenny for the record-breaking run of Phoenix Nights Live at The Manchester Arena, which raised over £5 million for comic relief, told fantastic tales about Australia and Manchester on Live At The Apollo, won The Champion of Champions on BBC 5Live’s Fighting Talk, and appeared as Dean the rival cricketing landlord on Coronation Street. All this as well as hosting his own critically acclaimed podcast About 30 Minutes, No More Than 45, which has been downloaded over a million times.
His comedy has taken him on tour to Australia, China, Japan and the Middle East. He has performed stand up comedy on television a number of times including, several series of The Comedy Store (Comedy Central), One Night Stand (Dave) and was Michael McIntyre’s guest on his Blackpool leg of the Comedy Roadshow (BBC1).
Other TV/ Film credits include, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, Ken Loach’s Looking for Eric, Max and Paddy’s Road To No-Where, Shameless, and he was a winner of Celebrity Mastermind.

Raul has fast become one of the most captivating Asian acts on the UK comedy circuit. As one of the few Asians to have grown up in the far North East of England (Newcastle) he’s blessed with a worldview that upends ethnicity, culture and class. Kohli combines ‘Superb political comedy’ (The Scotsman) with surreal storytelling.

Neil Pitts is an amateur adventurer and budding writer. He juggles his love of the great outdoors with his work as a learning & development consultant. Most of his adventures involve his wife, a campervan called Gandalf and mountains. In January 2022, having never been on Nordic skis in his life, he attempted to ski the length of Norway during one of the country’s worst winters for many years. In April, after 1,700km and 70 days he finally reached Nordkapp. He writes a blog about his adventures and is active on Instagram.
Sam was raised in South Devon and throughout his school years developed a taste for the outdoors living close to both the beach and Dartmoor.
This sense of adventure continued after he left school and joined the Royal Marines in 2010. He has tested himself throughout the globe’s harshest environments from the humidity of the jungles in Brunei, the heat of Central Asia, to the depths of the iciest temperatures in Norway.
Sam spent 13 years as an officer in the Royal Marines, serving combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as long periods working in the jungle, the desert and the Arctic Circle.
In November 2023, Sam Cox will embark on a unique 2000km solo and unsupported journey across Antarctica. No one has ever skied this distance without support before.
Starting at the coast of Berkner Island and finishing at the base of the Reedy glacier on the Ross ice shelf, via the South Pole, this expedition is anticipated to exceed 2000 kilometres. As one of the last wildernesses, this will be a pure test of physical and mental endurance.
Sam has been supported by Team Forces and Resilient Nutrition to embark on this epic adventure.

Co-presenter alongside Graham Bell on Ski Sunday, Ed Leigh is one of the most recognisable winter sports personalities in the world. Beginning his career working for Channel 4 as a presenter for the popular TV show Freesports on 4, Ed has some incredible stories to tell, and he does a mean air guitar…
When Neil Campbell was growing up he never thought he’d become a professional snowboarder. Growing up in Luton, he found himself getting into trouble in his younger years and was subsequently sent to prison at just 19 years old. On getting out, Neil vowed to turn his life around and he did just that, thanks to snowboarding.
Known to all as ‘Nine Lives’, Neil needed to fast track his riding to keep up with professional snowboarders and would copy whatever anyone else would do, having skipped the fundamentals along the way. He gained a reputation as the snowboarder with the most unorthodox style and trick list and – most importantly – his uncanny ability to always land on his feet, avoiding crashes that would end a normal person’s season, hence the nickname.
To keep the dream alive Neil would build and shape his local snow park in Milton Keynes and go on to work out in Austria and Switzerland. Last year along with Adidas Terrex ‘How did snowboarding change my life” was released a short documentary of Neil’s Journey.

In November 2018, she decided to switch to compete for Great Britain. Since been part of GB Snowsport world cup squad, a lot of hard work has been done and she’s now become a force to be reconned with on the World cup circuit. Becoming World Champion in 2021 in Idrefjäll, Sweden and winning the Crystal Globe 2 seasons in a row, 2021-22 and 2022-23.

At the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games Millie and Brett won silver medals in downhill and super-G as well as a bronze medal in the slalom on the final day of action.
Millie claimed gold in the super combined race at the delayed 2021 World Championships which took place in Lillehammer, Norway in January 2022. The result came a year after Millie had suffered a further concussion after a crash in training. Following the World Championships, Millie and Brett raced at the World Cup finals in Sweden, where they won Super-G gold and were awarded the 2021⁄22 season Super-G Crystal Globe.
At the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games, Millie and Brett claimed downhill bronze on the first day of competition on the slopes of Yanqing. The pair narrowly missed out on adding to their medal collection finishing fourth in both the women’s Super-G and Super Combined vision impaired events.

Skiing from an early age ignited a fire in Caroline’s belly to be in mountain environments which she has managed to achieve for most of her working life. From that first love of skiing, she went on to train in freestyle skiing (balletic and aerials) and then moved on to ski instructing in Austria and Australia. Following this, she specialised in ski patrol, as a pisteur secouriste in France, overcoming the many challenges necessary to achieve these qualifications from l’ENSA in Chamonix.
Later, she would work as an avalanche dog handler with the Fire Brigade in their specialised mountain rescue unit, working with Fjord, her much-missed faithful companion. Recently Caroline set up a small charity (CIC) enabling her to provide talks and workshops to schools and youth groups, which is where her passion lies, educating future mountain lovers whilst on a parallel inspiring young girls to follow professions in the mountains that have been mostly male dominated.
“While awe inspiring and life enhancing, mountains also demand respect as there are potential dangers for those with a lack of knowledge and experience.”
Whilst the winter resorts were shut with the pandemic, Caroline had time to reflect on all that mountains have taught her. She slowly gathered all her snow adventures together along with precious memories Fjord. Little by little she created a children’s book, Fjord’s Mountain Mission, a book all about how to stay safe in the winter resorts, narrated by Fjord her avi dog.
“Prevention is so much better than dealing with the consequences of poor decisions on mountains.”
Caroline wants everyone to feel the deep joy she has felt there, but she also wants everyone to remain as safe as possible. Fjord’s Mountain Mission is slowly growing momentum on a global scale: endorsed by the FIS in Switzerland it is available in English, French, German and Swedish and soon to be released in Norwegian and Japanese. And there is a soft Fjord toy soon to join the team – we all love a hug!
Jenny is the UK’S most globally respected and successful professional snowboarder. Since bursting onto the scene as a precociously talented teenager in 1999, she has won countless big air and slopestyle competitions – including three x-games gold medals in a row between 2009 and 2010 – and starred in some of the biggest shred movies of the last decade.
Jenny’s success is all the more remarkable given the lack of natural snowboarding terrain in the UK. A gymnast growing up, she learned to ride on a plastic dry slope before heading to France to pursue the sport full time, funding her season by working in a chalet. These days she spends most of her year on the road, chasing the winter from Europe and North America to the Southern Alps of New Zealand.
Jenny is known for pulling off super technical spins over the biggest of jumps, combining an uncanny natural balance with a strong will to succeed (this same determination has seen her come back from several career threatening injuries). But while she is feared as a competitor, Jenny is known for her humble attitude and bubbly sense of humour, making her hands down one of the most loved characters on the women’s snowboard circuit.
Featured in 12 Warren Miller Entertainment ski films, on the Discovery Channel, ESPN, Good Morning America, in Powder Magazine, and other media outlets, Dan Egan is an award-winning broadcaster and film producer, and a ski legend who continues to teach and share his love of the sport around the globe. Dan and his brother John Egan, as the Egan Brothers, travelled to some of the world’s most remote regions following the geopolitical events of the 1980s and 1990s. They made first descents on the Berlin Wall, skied beside the Persian Gulf War, and organized the 1993 Middle East Peace Ski in Lebanon; the brothers were willing to ski wherever the world would watch and listen.
Eddie Edwards is a British ski jumping champion who was the first (and only) competitor to represent Great Britain at the Winter Olympics in Ski Jumping. He became Britain’s 1st and only Olympic ski jumper and was fondly re-christened “Eddie the Eagle”.
Born Michael Edwards on December 5th 1963 (still a public holiday for casualty departments all over the world) in Cheltenham, Eddie was destined to carry on the family business and become a plasterer. But at the age of 13 after a school skiing trip all that changed.
He got the skiing bug and as soon as he was old enough travelled to Europe to teach skiing in many of the winter resorts. He competed internationally in Alpine Skiing then decided to have a go at ski jumping and in just 2 years he was jumping off 90 metre and 120 metre jumps that seasoned ski jumpers take 10 years to work up to!
1997 Eddie represented Britain at the World Ski Jumping Championships at Oberstorf.
Then in 1988 he travelled to Calgary and represented Britain in the Winter Olympics. As the guy who came 58th (he finished 56th out of 57 competitors but the 57th was disqualified) he got more publicity than the Gold Medal winner and Eddie’s heroic Olympic efforts thrust him into the limelight. This endeared him to the public and made him a household name. He was known for wearing bottle top glasses which steamed up when he ski-jumped.
Eddie gained his Eagle nickname after the International Olympics Committee President, Juan Antonio Samaranch, referenced him during the closing ceremony: ‘At Calgary people set new goals, created new world records and some even flew like an eagle’.
He had a top 50 chart hit with “Fly Eddie Fly” and a number 2 hit in Finland with “Mum Nienmi En Eitu”. He travelled the world appearing on many TV shows and became (and still is) a popular addition to the after dinner speaking circuit.
In addition to all this Eddie gained a Law degree in the summer of 2003 after studying at Demontfort University in Leicester.
In June 2003 Eddie married his wife Sam in true “Eddie the Eagle” style at the Little White Chapel Drive Through in Las Vegas. They now have two daughters, Ottilie Rose and Honey.
Eddie still holds the British Olympic record for ski jumping at 71 metres; his personal best is currently 119.5 metres. He holds the world record for stunt jumping (10 cars/6 buses) and was ranked world number 9 at amateur speed skiing (106.8mph).
Although he is remembered for coming last, Eddie always says that just getting to the Olympics was his Gold Medal which epitomises the true Olympic Spirit.
In 2011 he won BBC1’s ‘Celebrity Wipeout’ and in February 2013 was the first winner of ITV1’s brand new diving show ‘Splash!’.
Eddie The Eagle’ film, based on Eddie’s life was released in April 2016, starring Hugh Jackman.
