Mia Brookes

Mia has been snowboarding since she was eighteen months old, travelling around Europe in the family motorhome. Mia met the GB Snowsport Freestyle coaches while out in Laax when she was ten years old and later that year was selected to the team’s development squad. During the following seasons Mia continued to train with GB Snowsport Freestyle coaches in Laax, Livigno and Hintertux and enjoyed competing in the World Rookie Tour comps.

Mia is seeing success after success on the junior and senior scenes. In 2022 alone, she took 1st place at the RedBull Rail Yard, took 1st for Big Air and 2nd for Slopestyle at the Junior World Champs, took 1st at Vans Plaza, had 8 Europa Cup Wins (Slopetslye & Big Air) and was overall women’s champion at the World Rookie Tour Finals.

This year was Mia’s debut World Cup season. Mia placed 2nd at the Laax Open as well as top 10 results and finals in all other WC Slopestyle and BA events she entered.

In February Mia made sporting history by becoming the youngest ever World Champion at just 16 yrs old – Britain’s first Slopestyle female to take this title – and also landed a World’s first cab 1440 within her winning Slopestyle run.

On top of all of this Mia has continued studying at school & has recently passed her GCSEs.
