I’m Suki – I love being in the outdoors and pushing myself out of my comfort zone, as well as encouraging women of colour/marginalised groups to step into the outdoors to find their love of adventure.
I was introduced to skiing in 2021 and took several snowboarding lessons at before heading for my first trip to Val Cenis in early 2022 – originally I was absolutley terrified after seeing the speeds others reached on the slopes!
After a few snowboarding tumbles, I tried out skiing instead and fell in love! I loved the adrenaline and freedom I felt on the slopes, meeting so many supportive people and being able to look back up the mountains to my starting point and say “I just did that!”
By day I work in people and leadership development but outside of work you’ll usually catch me rock-climbing, at the gym or cooking/baking up a storm.
I’m really looking forward to being an ambassador for the Snow Show and meeting new people who share my enthusiasm for snow sports!
