PEAK SKI COMPANY LAUNCHES ITS AWARD-WINNING LINE OF ALL MOUNTAIN SKISIN EUROPE

SOELDEN, Austria (Oct. 23, 2023) – Olympic champion and two-time overall FIS Ski World Cup winner Bode Miller is returning to Soelden for the Audi FIS Ski World Cupopener October 28-28, 2023 – which he won twice in his racing career. But this time, he’s not coming to charge down the Rettenbach Glacier, but to join business partner and fellow co-founder of Peak Ski Company, CEO Andy Wirth, to announce the launch of its
critically acclaimed skis to the European market.

Miller, who won six Olympic medals and claimed 33 World Cup victories, is spending the weekend demonstrating the skis for media and VIPs, while following the racing from the finish area.

“From the moment we started Peak Ski Company, I wanted to offer our skis to European skiers,” said Miller, co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Peak Ski Company, who has been very engaged in the design and production process. “It’s special for me to make this announcement at the Soelden World Cup opener. Using my 25 years of experience as a ski racer, Andy, the Peak team and I set out on a mission to develop skis that advance the sport by changing the way people ski. Our intense focus on performance and precision coupled with innovative design features like Keyhole Technology makes skiing fundamentally easier and allows skiers to quickly gain confidence.”

“On the heels of our successful American launch, we’re thrilled to bring Peak Skis to the European market,” said Wirth, Peak Ski Company CEO. “The unique design features and technology integrated into our skis are changing the way skiers initiate turns and have the ability to make our sport easier to learn. We anticipate they will be well received by European skiers.”

After a successful launch in the USA, Peak skis are now announcing their availability in Europe. Customers can purchase directly from www.peakskis.eu and all orders of Peak Ski Company products over €50 will ship free of charge to customers based in the European Union. Peak Skis are manufactured and distributed in Europe which helps lower Peak’s carbon footprint and also eliminates duties and fees for European customers.

When they launched Peak Ski Company as a direct to consumer business in the United States in 2022, Miller and Wirth set out to sell and design skis like none before them, and reimagine how a ski company operates in a previously unchanged industry. After its first year, Peak Skis received unprecedented praise on the performance and design of its skis and ascended to the top of the ski industry’s most respected ski outlet rankings including SKI, Outside, Freeskier and Backcountry in North America and Freeride (which is organized annually by Bergstolz Ski & Bike Magazin) in Europe.

Peak Skis 2023-24 line of seven all-mountain skis include Peak’s proprietary Keyhole Technology™ which is a unique and innovative below-the-surface cutaway design feature that is central to Peak skis’ unique performance. Peak is the first company to offer skis that are perfectly balanced for every user in all lengths with accessible power built into each ski due to the unique flex profile.

The 2023/2024 models include:

Peak 78 by Bode: 90% on-piste, 10% off-piste. A high performance freeride carving ski that combines high levels of edge grip and stability with easy turn initiation and versatility for all skiers. Available in 160, 168, 176, 184 cm.
Peak 88 by Bode: 70% on-piste, 30% off-piste. A go-to carving tool for piste skiers with the ability to handle more difficult off-piste conditions. Available in 160, 168, 176, 184 cm.
Peak 98 by Bode: 50% on-piste, 50% off-piste. A do-it-all ski that is extremely versatile for on and off-piste in hard or soft snow conditions. It is quick enough for short radius turns on-piste and wide enough for all but the deepest of powder days. Available in 160, 168, 178, 184, 190 cm.
Peak 104 by Bode: 30% on-piste, 70% off-piste. A wider version of the Peak 98 by Bode, the 104 carves impressive arcs on-piste but performs at its best hunting for untracked snow off-piste. Available in 160, 168, 178, 184, 190 cm.
Peak 110 by Bode: 20% on-piste, 80% off-piste. A powder ski designed for the deepest days but allows skiers to rip turns on-piste, too. Available in 168, 178, 188 cm.
Peak 98 by Dav and Peak 104 by Dav

Named after big mountain adventure skier Chris Davenport (aka ‘Dav’), these skis reflect the spirit of adventure to “ski everything everywhere” epitomized by Dav over his ski career. They share the same rocker profile as the 98 and 104 by Bode, but are lighter weight and perfect for inbound hikes, the backcountry, or lighter skiers looking for a softer flex without sacrificing edge grip and stability. Target the 98 for an all-mountain quiver of one, or the 104 for additional float in soft conditions. Mount these skis with your binding of choice and choose your next adventure. Available in 160, 168, 178, 184 cm.
